Hi, I Miss You.

What do you do with all the unasked questions? The big updates, and the small ones, that you wish they could hear? Where do you direct the "I love yous", the "I'm sorrys", and the "I miss yous" when someone is no longer in your life?

Hi, I miss you. is a project born in response to those questions. It's a community art project designed for catharsis and connection through letter writing. This is your invitation to anonymously contribute.

Your letter can be written to someone who has passed on, or someone who you cannot or choose not to be in contact with. Share updates, reveal unsaid truths, say anything — so long as it feels true.

How to participate

  1. Grab a pen and piece of paper, card, or postcard.
  2. Write a letter to someone you are no longer in contact with.
  3. Mail it to:
    Hi, I miss you.
    P.O. Box 9542
    Denver, CO 80209
  4. Remember to keep it anonymous if you choose.

It's that easy.

By sending your letter to Hi, I miss you., you are agreeing to allow your letter to be included in the project, which may include online sharing, a gallery exhibit, and/or a printed publication.

Sharing these letters weighs equally to writing them. Our hope is that we can relate to each other's experiences, learn from them, or even feel a little less alone.

Feel free to include any creative elements — poetry, imagery, a hand-decorated envelope. This process is yours. Write as many letters as you need.
